Hello There!

Nice to meet you! I’m a writer, photographer, business consultant, and yogi currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with my husband, dog, and cat. I’ve recently received my MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and hold a B.A. in Economics from Drew University. I’m also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) and former certified personal trainer (ACE). I love to read, am a bit of a television junkie, and occasionally I knit.

My goal with this blog is to chronicle anything and everything interesting in my life – things I find, experiences I have, and stuff I’ve learned along the way. I took a break for several years because keeping up here felt more like work than fun, but I’m back to it with a much more relaxed attitude, and no schedule for when I’ll post, though I’m hoping to make at least two updates each month.

Book Recommendations

For a little while I thought that I might want to blog about books, so I started posting book reviews. What I’ve learned is that I don’t really write reviews, I write recommendations. When I read a book that I love, I want to tell the world about it and can’t wait to write up a blog post about how great the book is. When I read a book I don’t love, I might rage about it in my journal, but I have no desire to go back over what I’ve written, edit it and post it for the world. I want to move on to something I will enjoy.

So any books you see on this site are recommendations. If I receive an ARC, please know that if I like it I absolutely WILL blog about it. If I don’t like it, I won’t be mentioning it here.
